Brooks’ career at the University of Missouri Research Reactor started with a position on the accounting team. Since then, he has served in several capacities, including oversight of the reactor’s products and services group. He is now the head of business development and central services.
In this leadership role, Brooks oversees central support services, such as accounting and human resources. He is also the lead negotiator of business contracts — including those that enable the development of radiopharmaceuticals to diagnose and treat cancer.
Brooks is glad to be making a difference through his work at the reactor. “I know that every day we are providing short shelf-life active ingredients that save lives,” he says. “It’s exciting to be part of the team and have a front row ticket to the scientific advances that our brilliant scientists and their collaborators discover.”
Ken Brooks is associate director in charge of business development and central services at the MU Research Reactor.
